HOW TO PREPARE TO FOR BIKRAM YOGA

  • No large meals at least 2 hours before class. Practicing Yoga on a full stomach is very uncomfortable. Arrive hydrated, prepared to sweat.
  • Wear light, breathable clothing.
  • Bring a large towel, yoga mat, and water. If you arrive without any of these items, the studio has them for rent or purchase.
  • Yoga is a process that can start at and work through any stage of life. Find focus on yourself and be inspired by the group energy. Please rest when you need to, find inspiration, then try some more. With time you’ll be doing the postures with strength, ease, balance, and flexibility no matter your starting point.
  • Arrive on time. Please arrive at least 15 minute before your first class to meet the teacher, register, and get setup in the Yoga room. To provide a secure space and to stay on time with our teaching, doors to the studio are locked at the posted class times and late attendance is not permitted. Similarly, please attend class only when you are capable of staying the entire time. This will give you a complete practice, and even a few minutes of blissful stillness at the end of an amazing class.
